This pod shaped restaurant, situated over 32 feet above the ground in Redwood tree in the town of Warkworth, north of Auckland, is not only unusual but it’s beautiful too. This restaurant is exclusively for private functions and events, with a capacity of 30 guests.

#9 Cannibalistic Restaurant, Japan

In the Japanese restaurant Cannibalistic Sushi, the food is served as human body. You can “operate” anyway and anywhere you want by cutting open the body and eating what you find inside. The body will bleed (the blood is a red edible sauce) as you cut it and the intestines and organs inside are completely editable.

Originating in Belgium, the concept involves a crane hoisting guests, who are securely strapped into “dining chairs” 150 feet up in the air, along with a table, wait staff, and everything that’s required to enjoy a meal floating above the ground.

This restaurant, designed after a prison, was initially conceptualized to scare people from a life of crime by showing them the cruel side of prison. Upon entering this restaurant, patrons are allocated a number, photographed, fingerprinted, and optionally handcuffed. Each table is surrounded by rusting prison bars, and you’re served by waiters in black-and-white striped uniforms.

Guo Li Zhuang is one of its kind restaurant that serves dishes prepared from the genitals (penises and testicles) of male animals from a wide variety of species such as horse, ox, donkey, dog, deer, goat, sheep, and snake. Bizarre!
