#10 Koenigsegg One:1 ($2 million)

The Koenigsegg One:1 is claimed to be the world’s first megacar by its manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive AB. This megacar is fitted with a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 1,361 PS (1,001 kW) at 7500 rpm and 1,371 N·m (1,011 lb·ft) of torque at 6000 rpm. It is capable of accelerating to 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 200 km/h in 6.6 seconds, 300 km/h in 11.9 seconds. The One:1 can reach a theoretical top speed of 451 km/h.

#9 Bugatti Chiron ($2.5 million)

Named after the Monegasque driver, Louis Chiron, Bugatti Chiron is one of the most expensive exotic cars in the world. It features a 8 litre W16 quad-turbocharged engine and has 1,103 kW (1,500 PS; 1,479 bhp) of power and 1,600 N·m (1,180 lb·ft) of torque. The full top speed is claimed to be around 463 km/h (288 mph) though it is electronically limited to 420 km/h for safety reasons.

#8 Ferrari F60 America ($2.5 million)

This limited production roadster is a derivative of the F12 Berlinetta.  The name, F60 America, signifies 60 years of Ferrari in North America. This roadster has a mighty 6.3-liter V12 engine that pumps out 730 horsepower to the rear wheels. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around three seconds.

#7 Pagani Huayra BC ($2.6 million)

Huayra BC was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 by Pagani Automobili. It features an improved version of the standard Huayra’s 6.0 liter V12, twin turbocharged AMG engine that produces 789 brake horsepower.

#6 Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio ($3 million)

This limited edition car, crafted by legendary Italian design house Pininfarina, is essentially a Ferrari 458 Spider with a completely new body and interior. It features a 4.5-litre V8 of the Ferrari 458 Special that gives whopping 562 hp to the rear wheels. It races from 0 to 62mph in around 3.0 seconds.

#5 Bugatti Veyron Linea Vivere ($3.4 million)

This custom edition of Bugatti Veyron is crafted by Mansory, a luxury car modification firm based in Brand, Germany. The luxury facelift of the Veyron was completed in around 6 months time and  this took the car cost to $3.4 million.

#4 W Motors Lykan Hypersport ($3.4 million)

This limited production hypercar  is designed by W Motors, a United Arab Emirates based company. Lykan Hypersport is the first supercar to be produced in the Middle East. It is featured in the film Furious 7 and  numerous video games. The production of Lykan Hypersport is limited to only 7 units.

#3 Lamborghini Veneno ($4.5 million)

The Lamborghini Veneno is a limited production supercar that was built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. Based on the Lamborghini Aventador, it features a slightly upgraded 6.5 L V12 that gives 740 brake horse power. Only three production cars were released, and all three were sold.

#2 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita ($4.8 million)

This limited edition of the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition features a diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Although three CCXR Trevitas were planned to be produced but due to the complexity to make the special white carbon-fiber, only 2 were made, making it one of the rarest vehicles manufactured by Koenigsegg.

#1 Maybach Exelero ($8 million)

Priced at $8 million, Maybach Exelero is the most expensive car in the world. According to Top Gear, this high-performance unique sports car was purchased by rapper Birdman in 2011 for US$8 million. This car was designed by Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH on request for Fulda Tires to be used as a reference vehicle to test a new generation of wide tires.
